Gently cleanse the area to remove body oils and skin residue. Do not use moisturizers, creams, or other skin products near the area before using nipple shields, as this will reduce the adhesion of the nipple covering.

Apply the covers one side at a time. Make sure your nipple is in the center of the nipple shield when applying. Gently press the nipple shield into your skin to achieve the final result.
