However, with the increasing efficiency and miniaturization of modern electronics, many products designed to use AA batteries are being replaced by models that accept AAA batteries. AAA alkaline batteries weigh about 11.5 grams each, while AAA lithium batteries weigh approximately 7.6 grams, and rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH) typically weigh between 14 and 15 grams.
