* What is a DENIER?
DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make socks and tights.
The lower the deniers (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stockings or panties. Conversely, the higher the deniers (40, 70, etc.), the thicker and less visible the skin.
On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. They are commonly worn in the fall and winter.
Tights and stockings with a low DEN number are typically worn during the spring and summer season. The rest can be worn year-round, for example, for ceremonies, as the thinness of the stockings makes them more elegant.
